took the rest of the week off to study for a cert and i wake up to one of my buddies at work sending me a text saying there's a case of corona at the campus we work at, yet (it looks like) people are expected to come to the office. fortunately i can just work from home, but it's absurd that companies care so much about having people in the office

why cant companies do something like have a rotation of 2 days at office and 3 days at home and then reverse the following week?

smaller office space needed by sharing workstations which means more savings in space and then the ability for people to stay at home if need be like currently
