Bigj713281Can someone explain to me why United States keeps getting compared to Italy I understand Italy was the country that got hit the most. But Italy is small compared to the whole United States, and there’s less older people in America. I might sound ignorant or dumb but that’s my logic right now.
this "small" argument is dumb. both countries got villages and cities, its legit just scaled. their curves follow a similar trajectory

the "worst" days for germany with deaths are still coming, they wont be as big as in italy, spain or the usa but still..

I totally get wanting to do things for political purposes (like doing the same thing as Trump to get his base on your side), but at some point you have to realize that killing your own people and crippling your health care system is going to be a horrible political move
What do they think is gonna happen? Things are only gonna get worse, and reopening the country will just accelerate it exponentially.
Nothing will get solved, nothing will improve, it’s a net negative in pretty much every respect. Like, it literally makes no sense unless they actively want more people to get sick and more people to die when hospitals get overrun.
