    realistically, can this wipe out the entire human race

    Short term, no, the death rate is in the 1-8% area.

    We dont know if it can flare up again in 6 months tho.
    Also the damage to the lungs is permanent and can be severe.

    How is it permanent when the lungs can fully recover for even heavy smokers if they stop smoking?

    Not being an a******. I was genuinely wondering this last night.

    Belgium is doing much better tho

    because they're stopping dumb dutch people from coming to their country now and were one of the only ones to take this seriously at a rapidly increasing rate

    early stages imo South Africa just had 128 new cases and now a total of 402. thats a lot of growth for a day, things can get ugly there real quick i dont think their medical system is close to US or Italy etc

    No evidence of permanent lung damage as of yet. Lung capacity could be restored with physical exercise, according to the latest reports.
