I’m simply saying that eating chicken or dogs is not morally different because the lives of each animals are similar in value. Eating dogs is forbidden here because theyve been branded as cute companions but thats pretty much it
Dogs are more conscious then chickens, chickens are not much above insects and insects are basically moving plants
Carnivorous animals are complex animals with intelligence thoughts and understanding.

applesaucyIm saying that it comes down to how you value "how good things feel" when it comes to morals. I think the lives of each animal differ because of what they were bred for and what purpose theyd serve. Dogs do more than be cute companions. They can hunt, they can protect an ecosystem, and they can warn on upcoming danger. Cows, comparatively, do a lot less

I could also say that for the huge majority of the population, dogs only use is only really as a superficial companionship. So to them, what moral difference should there be between a dog and a cow? Especially so for societies where dogs aren’t even used as companions.

Also as animals raise in the food chain they accumulate more toxins that’s why we don’t eat predators in the West and they’re forbidden in Abrahamic religions

Plenty of people have genuine emotional connections to their dog it’s not always superficial
But I know people with pet cows and farm animals who feel the same
