And from what I’ve seen the country with the most effective response is Taiwan, which is a democracy

for sure, the fault is all on China, i'm just saying when it comes to a response, an authoritarian country has no problem forcing quarantine and the citizens accept it whereas in a democracy it's seen as an attack on freedom and can't be full force

China is already easing house quarantines in some parts of the country after 2 months and (supposedly) not getting new cases. US can't expect similar results because the "quarantines" are a joke
