Sep 27Trash Staronly thing i haven't loved so far is the 3 main weapons. i messed around with all 3 and tbh they don't feel all that different. like there doesn't seem to be a significant trade off or benefit when choosing one or the other, the differences are all so minor. anything you lose out on you can just gain back through the secondary weapon or combo finisher. it basically just comes down to which animations you like more. i think they could've gone farther to differentiate them
the armored enemies feel like they only exist to encourage switching loadouts but it ultimately doesn't even matter cause the armor breaks pretty easily no matter what damage type you use

Story Wise i think first might be better but i still have few quests to doim in for very good platforming in 2026 alone. map looks crazy. at the very least ill get by end of the year. games are just so expensive these days and I have grad school midterms coming up

which ones? imo only one that actually felt like a fetch quest was the survivalist
So far most of the side stories and just integrated into the exploration, I just stumble upon them and do them, which is why I like them actually

i didnt realize but i would advise anybody against just watching a vid on the first Control and thinking they are getting maximum enjoyment out of thisSo many things in the game are a reference or continuation of something in Control, even just lines and jokes here and there like “put him on fridge duty”
People should absolutely play the first base game at least
