Depends what kind of "deep state" you are referring to. There's Peter Dale Scott's a***ysis of how intelligence agencies, organized crime, and political establishments coalesce and embody power. Then you have QAnon and Alex Jones and such who basically just view "the deep state" as a singular entity corrupting an otherwise good system. The two notions are not compatible.
