Dec 31, 2020·3 replieskrishna boundwhile i doubt he'd care either way, its actually insane that after getting s*** for no reason on by the new generation of rappers for the past few years he finally gets his props from the newer generations with that shoutout on the carti album and he wasn't even alive to hear it. i know it probably seems stupid but DOOM was always really jaded about hip hop and after the OF generation, it genuinely seemed like most younger fans were just s***ting on him with memes and stuff. it's sad to think he may have died thinking that was his legacy in younger generations of hip hop
DOOM had a whole second life online with OF shouting him out and giving him praise, along with Awful/Raider KlanASAP Mob/Pro Era/Beast Coast/etc. The newer generation was pretty much raised on the internet with alot of them being fans of one of it not all those other groups. He was probably looked at as a legend to the newer generation, just one that they never truly got to experience.
