NICEMANI'm going to be honest, I've tried listening to Madvillainy multiple times for years but it just never clicked for me. Then late last year, I discovered Hoe Cakes and I loved everything about it
The beat boxing, the sample, the witty lines - "rumor has it was an S curl accident" 
I listened to the song on repeat for months, its always going to be tied to my memories of 2020. Hopped on Instagram at like 3AM just before bed after playing Fortnite and saw the news
It felt like 2018 all over again, Swimming was the first time I got into Mac Miller and then he passed just months later 
I feel devastated rn even though I wasn't a huge fan at allTorrenting the rest of Doom's discography rn. Hopefully it clicks for me eventually, there HAS to be something amazing for him to receive this much praise from so many legends

yeah I hadn't listened to him in a huge way in years, yet when a got my new laptop a couple years ago like the FIRST thing I did instinctively was make sure my Doom and Madlib collections were immaculate once I reinstalled iTunes
