if u go to a diner restaurant they serve really weak coffee to stretch it out more i guess. and serve it in small mugs so theres this charm in asking for a refill and also the fact that you won't drink too much

Yeah, it’s literally a marketing ploy 95% of the time to up charge on their coffee cause they added a quarter to their workers wages back in the origin countries.
I got into an argument with a barista once about this. He worked at one of those ‘Fair Trade, Worker Owned’ shops that’s charging $6.00 for an 16oz iced coffee when the shop two blocks down charges $3. Dude was hurt over me asking so are you paying them livable wages in exchange for like a 100% price increase
