Holy F***, this is worse than the first time I heard. This is legitimately one of the worst songs I've heard in my whole life I'm not even kidding. Some of y'all say KOD is a classic. Bruh

Bro I'm not kidding but I think people who listen to KOD are brain dead or something. What the f*** is he even trying to say on this track? S*** is 2 minutes and all over the place

And I don't want any dumbass Cole stan quote me like "That's the point it's like your on x****" or some stupid s*** like that. It's not just this song either it's the whole album

There's another song where he says Count It Up Count It Up and I'm like ts is literally ASS

Agreed. That's exactly how I feel bro... Honestly I think Cole is just like.... Not that guy... Like he doesn't have the proper artistic vision or taste to properly craft a great album or be that great of an artist...

How can you even listen to Kendrick or Drake's music (the guys who you're supposed to be neck and neck with competitively) and then go in the studio, lay down something like this, ACTUALLY LISTEN TO IT BACK, and be like "yeah bruh, that's the one right there."

Like you said it's literally brain dead and I have no other explanation for it other than Cole is just literally NOT THAT GUY. Like we all think he's some super cultured artistic person like no, his references are all super shallow and whack. Like anytime he references a show or something it seems like it's coming from a guy who watched one episode because he heard it was a good show on Twitter or some s***.

Like holy s*** man, he's so mid and the fact that he's bowing out after subbing Kendrick for like an eternity is just so on brand for him and hilarious. oh J.Coal...

I genuinely don’t understand how this was such a big deal for Cole

Hes getting negative attention now too since he walked all the way back

He should have just done a diss not a personal

Or, at the concert, still big up and talk positively about Kendrick while saying the track is just on "sports s***" & competition and nothing serious and still keep the diss track - it would have went viral still too

Or he could have never done a standalone track at all & just keep it to a few bars in whatever song straight forward or subliminal

The response blowout to his decision is not going to do him any favors if what op says is true

  • Apr 10, 2024

Also f*** that pretentious nigga Ib cause all this happens with his supervision, all this mid, you are not top my nigga

  • Apr 10, 2024

I still think Drake either gassed tf out of Cole and/or gave suggestions for the diss (indirectly or directly)

The critiques of Coles bars dont even sound like the ish he would go after, it literally sounds like some Drake and Drake talking points hes been doing against since Control

And the style of the bars coming from Cole makes no sense since he is worst then Kendrick in his critiques, BUT, it would make sense coming from Drake

And Drake is usually the "numbers" guy, while Cole always talks about skill

I really think Drake set him up bro 💀💀

YOU KNOW at the very least Cole and Drake were talking and its a hugh chance Drake knew about the diss, but even if he didnt, im almost sure Drake hit him about it when it released - if they are as close as were suppose to believe and then being in contact cuz of the tour. Cole got played & gaslit

I feel the same tbh and you just unlocked a memory about this album. He named a song Kevin's Heart just so he could get Kevin Hart to be in the music video. That is the depth of his artistic vision. He's the dude in class that thinks he can be deep as the ocean but he's a puddle. There's no layers like Drake and Kendrick put in their lyrics
