That extra bass in the second half of smokers is unreal
Cocoa leaves and potpourris
Chains over Le Coq Sportif
D**** killed my teen spirit, welcome to Nirvana
Omggg, No Malice hasn’t missed a step
Malice & Push about to go crazy on this.
As for the album artwork, I don’t mind it and it falls into what they’ve historically done. Feel like it’s overly criticized.
But if they were going full nostalgia, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last Clipse and maybe even Push album, I’d just do a Bape theme of sorts but not too on the nose.
Brambleton and Let the Smokers Shine the Coupes are insane the rest I wasn’t feelin too much personally , maybe it’s time to revisit tho
And the joint w Jay was nice
Yeah the ones u mentioned are indisputable but also I think Call My Bluff was a cool beat as well, and kinda left-field for recent pharrell
And Open Air was a basic pharrell beat but I found it to be infectious
Not my fav beat in the world by any means, but that album has one crazy relic and it’s the fact that there’s a beat touched by both Kanye and Pharrell
!https://youtu.be/i_GAZhvqFyI?si=RWh3ad19UDqz3xdvI’m guessing Kanye did the sample and then Pharrell played the chords and added drums. In a vacuum, that’s so cool.
I thought the same as well but the song as a whole is kinda messy tbh, that kid cudi hook with THAT filter kinda jarring, not one of my preferred tracks from that album and I really really love it

Call My Bluff and Open Air are basically the exact same beat except one’s dark and one’s bright sounding
Is it just me that thinks pusha verse is kinda lazy
It’s weak and being side by side with that malice verse doesn’t make it any better
The fact ppl think Numbers on the Boards is Kanye n not Don Cannon
Don Cannon did the beat, 88-Keys. added the 'How you feeling?' samples and got an additional production credit, the ONLY thing Kanye did was add the Jay sample and gets full co-producer credit
Crazy how everyone at the time (me included) was like 'Kanye's done it again!'
