im glad Let The Smokers Shine The Coupes is getting love from Push in that JBP episode, that is one of the most insane beats ive heard from Pharrell in his post 2000s era

that sample is psychotic, and the way P was pitching it around on some Ye Daytona s*** 😩

I like how p’s rap voice has aged. There’s this wear in it that (to me) emits the type of wisdom that can only be acquired after years in the game, like a sage’s long white beard

Some new tidbits so far:

• confirm there was a time Clipse were gonna be fully produced by Ye, then a time where Pharrell and him were going to collab on it together
• Push confirmed So Be It 2 was a last second remix due to sample clearance but cringes when people still have So Be It 2

big boy and dj hed/gina views have had the best interviews for this album in my eyes, you can tell push and malice are enjoying themselves and the questions are good. way deeper than the same "how was this album made"
