posting miserably in here won't bring her back bro
Someone like that never had a girl in the first place
Push wanted to leave "MTBTTF", "POV" & "By the Grace of God" off the album.
Makes me wonder how many fire songs Push cut from his solo career lol

I can see him not liking "BTFOG" but the other 2?

Yah MTBTTF and POV probably two of the top 3 songs on the album lol

Pretty sure Pharrell wanted POV off the project too and Malice wouldn’t let them
Real music is when 50 year old black guy raps about selling d**** he doesn’t actually sell
"black guy" is a sleeper racist phrase fr
even "black dude" feels less racist somehow
can't elaborate
It just annoys me when Reddit Fantano types say what “real hip hop” is

yeah but what are your credentials for that debate then

I’m not trying to have that debate I just think it’s boring to talk about selling kilos when you haven’t done that for 20+ years
Just rap about being successful and rich and skilled idk how anyone cares about cocaine bars

dead at this but i will respond earnestly:
the coke bars are mostly vehicles to talk about other concepts
but yes there is a level of nostalgia for the lifestyle then that led to their lifestyle now
what do your favorite rappers rap about?
the arbitrary 13 track cutoff is an agenda push but impressive nonetheless. happy for the guys

I wonder if moving it up to 15 adds any albums. But I think it's definitely valid to look at shorter albums as a separate category

Youve been hating for more than a week hanging out in this thread bruh. please find your father
kendrick visuals would've really enhanced the verse and views would've shot up too, real shame he couldn't make it
Had to sit with the album for a week before I posted ITT. But been reading this thread and everyone’s reactions to it. Gotta agree with everyone. This is easily AOTY and it’s not close. Feel like we rarely get those rap albums that makes you feel something.
I feel like artists have been lazy and uninspired in the 2020s. And for these older dudes to comeback and drop an album full of such creative and hard ass bars over some of Pharrell’s best beats? Man this s*** restored the feeling. Few albums do that for me nowadays.
This album isn’t perfect but no album is. Excellent album. Hip-hop is still alive.
