Don’t think it ever went away but yeah this album is special

perhaps. maybe JIDs album if its anywhere near as good as the forever story

i mean ive been voicing the idea of underground rap running s*** quality albums wise since 2017 but at some point you get tired listening to these obviously less known dudes for a variety of reasons

or even not less known but like do i genuinely need to get my rap fix from ll cool j in 2025? im not entirely against it it just rubs me the wrong way

its not a bad first single choice actually if you think about it.
just the 2 brothers doing their thing, no features showcased early and served its purpose well enough as the hype built

plus so be it was still having its sample clearance delays
