one of the reasons i hated how short daytona was

especially as a huge fan who's been waiting on king push forever forever since like wrath of caine then kanye changed the whole s***

then come to find out few years later push did actually have like 6 more tracks full of finished heat that have (thanfully) leaked during those sessions and the session prior lmao

it was suppose to be king push and then kanye changed everything up - kanye and pharrell were both suppose to be the main producers along with some others like dahi and no i.d. but then knaye took it over with the wyoming ish and the drake ish and turned into his own s*** which how we ended up with infared and what would meek do then he cut out a bunch of s*** for that stupid small lived 7track rule

king push was supposed happen when darkest happened too but then he wanted to do a mixtape before king which then ended up in the darkest full album

and king push was suppose to be the "is my name" part of the story arc he was doing with wrath of caine mixtape and my name is my name album thats been hyped since wrath in 2011/2012

• then some of the songs of the older interation of king push that was suppose to happen after mnimn or during darkest did drop such as lunch money and d*** dealers anonymous which the og version of king push was suppose to be half really experimental tracks and half traditional - such as the duality of lunch money and dda - that was also going off of stuff like numbers on the board (experimental) and untouchable (traditional) etc.

Kanye said he could produce better beats and in a lot of cases he did. Pusha T apparently thought so too

I wasnt mad at Daytona but i do not get why Its Almost Dry took 4 years

Sounded like a normal pusha t album and the beats werent anything special.

No ID and Dahi did a majority of Summertime 06 and those type of beats are exactly what I want to hear Push on

OG King Push would’ve been better imo. Daytona is great but other than IYKYK and Games We Play, I’d take Dahi production over the rest of Kanye’s beats

Darkest Before Dawn is also severely underrated. I’ll die on the hill of saying it’s his best album. It doesn’t have the highs of MNIMN but it’s more consistent and has zero misses

big facts, lot of these niggas didnt pay attention to push himself till daytona and addidion so they don't know what they talking or the whole trail to king push and his redemption.

i dislike infrared too and hate what would meek do

daytona honestly overrated to me by the people that didnt follow push (nor after lol) - i enjoy almost dry better too even tho daytona has perhaps push's greatest song and one of raps best ever with game we play which im always grateful for - but daytona seems like a better moment n era than the music itself to me, especially with how king push kept getting butchered and never came into fruition which eh then publically stated king push is over with the lead up dry and all of kanye's bullshit. just disappointing and irritating even tho the other 5 tracks are great and 2 of them are a genre masterclass.

the glimpses of king push are amazing too and those experimental tracks could have really pushed at least the underground heavy which he was already doing with some of its leftover loosies such as lunch money and some of the songs to tease it such as king push (opener track) and numbers on the board. such really innovating production and how to ride them so effortlessly while still being hard af and not pretentious.

but even outside of og king push idea getting washed and cut up for his other projects and other artists projects - the full version of daytona is still amazing and literally was only handicapped by kanyes own stupid and selfish rule even tho all those tracks are literally fully mastered and up to quality that could fit so easy. s*** is so f***ing dumb. but at least he dropped some of them as his own loosies and thent he rest leaked.
