i understand people dislike how much he uses the same drums over and over but literally every producer i have EVER been a fan of has their own drum sounds that they use more than others. early ye (hell even wyoming ye), metro, cardo, dahi, EVERYBODY reuses sounds

Yeah it’s not about him reusing them I just don’t like them for his style and sound

I feel like when he started trying to make trap infused beats they feel a little bit cheap with the sounds and honestly I think a lot of people just don’t wanna hear that modern drum sound from Pharrell. It takes him away from the funk and makes it feel sterile

I like the NERD album more than his beats after that, but my favorite song was Deep Down Body Thirst which had more of the classic NERD pop rock groove. And ESP part 2 was fire. Voila was cool
