If an album is only released for commodity's sake and not for catharsis then it's a promotional tactic, but I think it's understandable that artists get charged up by the context of an album when it's about to come out

That's not to say I always agree with the words they say, but whatever time they say it whether in or outside an album cycle doesn't matter to me
