That makes sense. And it seems that all the streams will be paid (excluding yt pandora etc)? Since Spotify was giving out free premium streams?
I think a more realistic number from streams is 509k if you average 1500 and 1250. Would have to do avoid 89k in pure sales which isn’t happening.
Sad that his team doesn’t promote physicals. Guy could touch 700k no problem.
Since no one is projecting him to do 89K I'm thinking the 700 on demand streams must be paid.
I'm not sure but I think someone will correct me.
It might be 690mil paid + 20 mil free + 49K sales. Or something like that.
Some of the records/achievements Drake is looking to hold this week:
1. Will be the first artist in history to occupy the entire top 3 multiple times.
2. Will have the most #2 hits in history (7)
3. Will surpass 50 top 10 hits, becoming the first in history to do so.
4. Will have the most #1 debuts in history (5, tied with Ariana Grande)
5. Will have reached a cumulative total of 1 year at #1 on Hot 100 (52 weeks, across 9 #1 hits)
6. Will surpass 250 Hot 100 entries, first ever to do so.
7. Will be the first artist in history to occupy 5+ positions in top 10 simultaneously multiple times.
Also CLB could be the album with most top 10s ever.
Could drake possibly win artist of the decade two decades in a row?
I know its early but sheesh lol

This guy just needs to make one post on ig about buying the album on itunes/his website and the physical sales would skyrocket

Exactly. 0 promotion after the album drops as always
Think 40 told Akademiks before that they/drake dont care about sales eventhough everyone is pushing the drake only does long albums for streams propaganda
would make sense as they never did bundles for Views or Scorpion.
homie has a sirius xm + pandora deal, im sure they could finesse the numbers if they wanted to

The reality nowadays especially for these big artists is they can't drop physicals first day cuz of leaking potential through retail... but most artists including Drake aren't even dropping physicals till weeks out now, vinyls have way more demand and still never drop anytime within drop date. And the release date of the physical is when it adds to sales, not the date of order (like right now with the CD available for preorder but shipping weeks from now so counts for nothing first week)
This guy just needs to make one post on ig about buying the album on itunes/his website and the physical sales would skyrocket
Those physical sales aren't counting until they ship (several weeks from now) regardless

Somebody call Future The Prince please
Spotify has had its daily update on the numbers so should have a total for how many all together the album got streamed yesterday
What if we’re grossly underestimating the Apple numbers and they’re just absurdly massive?
