He left a true whole in music. Only people making similar stuff is like Rashad and Cole
J. Cole does not make music like this what the f***
I'd listen to his last album, Swimming, and then this one.
They're meant to go together
Last album I listened to him was good am which I didn’t like very much but I’ll give those albums a listen
So appreciative we have this. Wasnt expecting an official posthumous album tbh. Thought Swimming was the perfect, albeit most painful, unfortunate send off. But this, this is spellbinding. It really does feel like closure through music. Makes his passing a little easier to bear. And although many moments throughout it left me devestated, at the end I was left almost happy. Mac's music always brought a smile to my face, even if it was just a wistful one, and this is no different. So fitting, so heavy, so transcendent. Mac's a legend and his discography is cemented as one of the greatest OAT. To pigeonhole him as a rapper is to ignore his overall greatness. Almost a once in a generation talent in my opinion. Im confident his legacy will live forever and only strengthen. 92 till infinity. Love to all.
Good energy
Damn man Mac really passed when he was entering his musical peak. Unpopular opinion but Swimming and Circles are my favorite Mac projects easily
Definitely agree but I’d add Faces in there too

Exactly this. Seems like his progression all lead to Circles & Swimming 😔

No cole can't make something like circles. I was referring to more of Mac's rapping stuff. The two of them rap like they're giving you a top notch freestyle, it's not overly complex but still witty, great flow, and easy to relate to. Obviously their lyrical content is different. I just see Cole making stuff like swerve off ROTD3 and it just somewhat reminds me of a rap song that Mac would make I guess. Not many artists make hip-hop like that nowadays. I guess that also furthers my case of no one being like Mac cause someone who I think somewhat resembles him, doesn't even do it that closely. Also I think Mac wouldn't have had a problem collabing with Cole.
I Can See is truly beautiful.
The "now I'm switching location, cause Heaven is too far when you live in the basement" bar feels like it could be a heavy allusion to his death? Such a work of art. Ariana on the backing vocals too....
Mac was really building this new direction for a minute too
this is the peak form of the sound he attempted with TDF
The Wav files of this album make it way harder and clear
apparently there is no difference between WAV and FLAC
apparently there is no difference between WAV and FLAC
slight difference if you have the system for it
'Cause Heaven too far when you live in the basement
I'm lookin' for balance, I'm in an oasis
Well, I need somebody to save me, hmm
Before I drive myself crazy
I can see might be one of his best songs
Don't think an album this year or for longer will top his for me. Malcolm was really in his bag on this, Jon Brion a G.O.A.T. for finishing this
album isn't that good tbh
you’ve been posting in this thread for days about how this album isn’t good find a new one lol
