Because you are addicted and are killing yourself slowly and are being profited off of by people that make billions doing it - that being said even if you consider that okay, you are actively harming others around you, even if the amount of harm that YOU personally do is small its still there and a lot of people do way more, and you can't blame them since they are addicted. Smokers itt 5 years from now:

1 - we're all slowly dying bud, sure smoking cigs has its risks but so does driving a car or walking down the street
2 - do you buy candy? soda? fast food? normal food? guess what, those are billion dollar industries making money off you too
3 - this assumes one smokes around others which isnt necessarily true
4 - why should it be banned due to some people ignorantly harming others? some people careen their cars down the sidewalk, some people hack people up with hatchets, some people pour bleach in dog food, yet these things are not banned for the actions of a minority

You can't compare the risk of driving a car or walking down a street to the risk of getting cancer that smoking gives you. And this is a common thing smokers say to defend their addiction.
The thing about soda and fast food is true but it doesn't harm others around you at all. And i'm not supportive of that either

Because its an ADDICTION. They aren't ignorantly harming others, they are addicted. Nor can you compare it to those examples because none of those things are addictive
