Yh defo strong infleunces from them. Its really good. Survivor is up there with my faves too. I and I, Never Give Up and Market are great for me too

Not a rendition per say but the chord progression & melody is nearly uncanny & i wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired by testify's hook, given the old-school vibe he was executing.
They will see when it comes to light
have no fear, and know that everything's gonna be alright
Both times I turned this album on I've started cooking something. This my new kitchen album
Promise me you'll never give up.
Song of life contender right there and I ain’t even listen to the album yet
Stop me if I’m tweaking but I think chronixx/inflo/the sault collective is the closest thing we have rn to the musicality D’Angelo was blessing us with. Some songs on this album definitely reminded me of Voodoo even if it’s an entirely different genre

I hear what you are saying. Inflo to SAULT, Cleo, Chronixx, Simz gives me some similar feelings to George Clinton to Parliament and Funkadelic. Super creative forces. They also both make use of repitition a lot.
The music isnt that similar (most of the time) but it gives me a similar feeling. In terms of the 'warmness' of the music though I see the parallel to D'Angelo and the wider Soulquarians
@viscera interested in your thoughts on what I said
