Sources tell Deadline that Nolan is returning to Universal for his next film, with plans for an Imax release on July 17, 2026, and that Matt Damon is in talks to star. Nolan will be directing from a script he wrote and will produce with Emma Thomas through their Syncopy banner

Was a good gesture on WB's part but its prob hard to walk away from Universal with how excellently they treated him. They gave him exactly what he wanted and together walked away with nearly a billion dollars, and successful campaigns for Best Director and Best Picture. There's no convincing offer 2024 WB can pull here unless he cares more about nostalgia than business

I rewatched that film and the way it’s shot edited arranged and how it uses techniques he’s tested throughout his whole career and different narrative devices he’s tried it’s so perfect
The Damonaissance is upon us

Confirmed not an adaptation of the Prisoner.
(I'd trust him if he did it, but this seemed like an unfounded rumor that just spread around a ton for no reason).

Out.
Nolan prisoner would've changed the game
Sony is 100% moving Spiderman then. There is no way Nolan’s gonna give up the 3 weeks IMAX exclusive run. It wouldn’t shock me if had IMAX sign a contract for that.

Does Spidey have a set release date?
You absolutely have to sign a contract for IMAX stuff. It's why Oppenheimer's date was set 2 years in advance also and why he managed to take IMAX screens from Barbie and MI:7.

It doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s heavily rumored to be Marvel’s July tentpole, presumably July 24th. But a lot can happen until then.
