nah definitely nowhere near being bad but not classics either like Interstellar, Batman or Inception are.
I would say Oppenheimer is a classic score though.
“Do you hear the music?” Is a super iconic theme and besides the Batman and interstellar themes, it’s his most iconic. But yeah those 2 are insane highs. Like those are probably 2 of the 30-40 most memorable scores in film of all time
Thing is I don’t think anyone’s come close to making anything at the level of those 2, including zimmer himself
Ludwig, while good, hasn't produced quality of scores for Nolan so far when compared to Hans ZImmer.
This to me is his best score ever. It’s immediately recognizable in a way that Hans’ and John Williams’ are. Ramin Djawadi and Giacchino have the iconic scores. Before this one, Ludwig imo didn’t have one before The Odyssey. Now he does.
It’s been playing in my car since Saturday. The use of period accurate instruments paired with an alluring and imposing at times composition create a rich soundscape. A lot of it is really unsettling and just off kilter. Others are magnetizing. Some like sirens have this almost naturalistic earthy but alien feel. If my imagination created a song for the idea of Greek mythology, it’d be Sirens.
First ever 70mm IMAX experience for me tomorrow evening and 2nd viewing overall.
It’s incredible man. You will be astounded at the screen size and scale when you walk in. Get pics of the screen before the showing
Just left the theater and I'm just blown the f*** away from the story to the acting to the score to no f***ing CGI dammit this movie was everything and more that I thought
Nolan so f***ing goated he just keeps getting better and the way he plays with time
I'll be going to see this in IMAX again soon then hopefully 70mm if they bring it back around (I know they will, movie is printing money)
They fact that they dealt with that Cyclops only to run into an island of Giants
Homer, the architect of comic hijinks.
