I hate number ratings but it really gave you instant nostalgia for something you know you can never experience for the first time again . That to me says my number
Dune the futuristic, intragalactic story is more visually appealing than a Greek mythology. You don’t say

S*** take? Bro YOU are the one comparing Dune to The Odyssey. Nobody was even thinking about a movie that takes place 20,000 years after Ancient Greece until you brought that up
Dune hate lol so performative
I just watched dune 1 for the first time on a plane yesterday and the whole thing felt like a set up for the sequel. Also thought the acting made me feel it wasn't far off a superhero movie with just more lore and a more creative approach to the world and ship design.
I want to be pleasantly surprised by the 2nd because I genuinely want to make sure I don't miss out on the 3rd if I do find myself taken by it, but for me it wasn't even close to Denis's best

i was talking about Dune's visual aesthetic as a placeholder for films that are larger than life in their scope
