They in here roasting Dune

Could see this being a bit divisive among audiences that aren’t familiar or don’t particularly f*** with the source material. Not surprised critics that likely spent years studying literature love it.

Myself, I really enjoyed it. I think I’ll enjoy it more on second viewing since in typical Nolan-fashion you don’t see the whole picture until the end.

Saw it in 70mm IMAX too

That prologue didn’t hit for me like I expected it to :/

Nolan was able to craft a grounded epic that is probably his largest scale film since Interstellar. Even in its imperfections I was enthralled (namely when things were a tinge out of focus, it kind of brought the film down to earth)

I think this is one of the best performances I’ve seen from Damon and Hathaway. Also, special shoutout to Samantha Morton. Her scenes of the film were some of my favorites. Ludwig kills it with the score and does things with this score I wouldn’t have expected.

I have a lot to say but I have to kind of organize my thoughts, but this is my favorite film of the year.

God of War exists. Mythology can just be visually exciting or crazy. However, I don't expect Nolan to be throwing sparkles and flashes all over a movie.
