Gladiator 2 couldn’t even get past $500M and if it hadn’t had this obscene budget, everyone in the industry would have called it a success. Oppenheimer had the perfect storm, great viral marketing and strong word of mouth for a colossal worldwide success.

Yeah if it wasn’t a huge disappointment, I think it very well could’ve crossed 700m

I know and that’s why I’m saying $700/800M for Odyssey would be a great result. Oppenheimer was a different situation and not be seen as a good benchmark when it comes to this movie’s success.

Happen to be going on a trip where one is week after movie comes out . I gladly wait a week to see it in imax 70mm. Got prime seats. And theater already sold out

I would prefer seeing it in 70mm imax day 1 but think I was working or waiting on payday when tickets dropped. So seeing 70mm AMC day 1 . Likely seeing it at music box 70mm the monday after then lastly end of the month 70mm imax ( possibly same day as Spider Man amazon showing)

For a non super hero movie with a $250 mill budget? Yeah 7 to $800 mill would be a win, but then again Nolan films have higher expectations
