Eh it felt pretty straightforward to me. Just pay attention to the colors red and blue and most of the important parts fall into place. Don't think too deeply on the time-space babble because in most movies involving time travel, it's a giant crock.

I wanna believe in the theory that N++l is M+x as an adult and is inverted, but that would mean that their whole universe is stuck in a time loop. Meaning the main antagonist might've actually succeeded in some way.

i mean neil would have to be inverted what 20 something years to be in the time where he is a small child?

All I can say is that I beg to god that you’re correct. But every single Nolan movie on iTunes movie has never been in imax. I’ve rented all of the movies he has used imax cameras with. I’ll see when I get home

Maybe by the time the kid grows up, time travel/inversion is different and more potent/stronger, allowing him to travel back farther in less time

If you know about the spy genre it literally has all the most common tropes and story progression of any spy movie. It's straightforward. Don't let the time gimmick trick you into thinking it's more than what it is bro
