Criterion sale half off right now at Barnes & Noble. Grab the Blu for $20; comes with his short film, commentary, and with the film in chronological order

Upon first watch i thought the movie was a total mess. So jumbles, so confusing, so loud to the point most dialogue are inaudible and no semblance of character.

i've never had any issue with audio in his movies i ain't seen tenet yet though people overrate how inaudible the dialogue in my experience.

when i saw interstellar in theatres the sound design was definitley a perk and helped the film.

I thought the sound was incredible , keep in mind tho I watched in my home country with subtitles

    so maybe that helped

Ill def admit I didn’t like the sound mix as much as I did with interstellar, TDKR and Dunkirk but the sound mix was exceptional in the action scenes and the score especially

But I don’t think it felt as immersive as like during the cornfield chase in interstellar where it would make sense for the dialogue to be hard to hear. Here, there’s a number of scenes where the dialogue should just not be hard to hear and it still is so that kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

going back and realizing how sator used that car chase to get that algorithm piece (which protag just left at the site of the turnstile while inverted) was wild as hell
