This is the type of film that needs a regular style of life to profit from. Going from Half a year in lockdown to see a 2 1/2 hour mysterious sci-fi film is not profitable, even if it’s in theaters until 2021. Imagine if once upon a time in Hollywood came out now...

hmm i see what you mean but I feel like when things start to clear up more people will be ready to go to the movies. And this will really be the only new film in theaters available to see, so people will of course buy tickets for it

And i think overall people are more interested in seeing an epic sci fi over a slow burn film like OUATIH

We'll just have to see how things turn out though in these next few months

Doesn’t wonder woman two come out around Thanksgiving? Tenet is definitely the “canary in the coalmine” film for that, Bond, Dune, and Black Widow

The problem is Tenet shouldn’t have even come out this year. Warner Bros. and Nolan should’ve moved the film to February from the start like no Time to die did. Move Dune to next summer and move Wonder Woman to this September and each film still makes a good amount of money.

It’s there to give theaters the business they need to survive. It’s gonna be there for atleast 12 weeks and probably even longer. Its Nolan throwing a lifeline for theaters that may otherwise go out of business if they had to wait another 5-6 months
