I see people arguing about wherever this is his magnum opus. Having seen it, I have to say this could be his magnum opus just based on the fact that the movie is the first of it’s kind.
2001: A Space Odyssey didn’t have the best acting or the best story but the movie has stood the test of time just based on it being a stamp on movie history.
Tenet could very well be that. I have seen things in this movie that I have never seen even attempted in any other movie.
Personally loved it as I do with all Nolan films.
Score is loud and abrasive, cast all come through very well, premise of the film is super interesting and thought provoking. It’s disorientating and confusing - in a good way

I'm guessing you've seen it.. i really have high hopes for Tenet especially since multiple people said that it's very similar to Inception, which is my fav Nolan
But to compare it's possible impact to 2001
the most influential film of all time, that's a hype level i don't wanna keep in mind before watching the film
But then again i haven't seen it yet
Man i might cancel my tickets for aug 31st im super anxious about corona
If you can afford it, buy a Hazmat suit off Amazon.
I bought one, it was $38.
I live in the south too so I know it’ll be a bunch of redneck, conservative ass “corona is a liberal hoax” people in the theater so I’m going fully equipped
Just saw the trailer this looks quite hard

Yo wtf you serious?
mf's going outside with a hazmat suit
I legit feel safer in the cinema here than anywhere else
everythings taking care of soooo well
emotional stuff is much worse than Inception
I think the concept is better realized and less confusing though. cooler concept too
visuals and soundtracks/sound design is comparable between them too both are unreal
on a scale from 1-10 how f***ing cool is this movie in terms of visuals + sound design
like aesthetically speaking

If Inceptions a 9 then an 8-8.5 I think
It’s pretty f***ing sick
the plan been on repeat
imagine disliking the song
Crine @ dude walking in the theatre in a hazmat suit. If you don't put on a n95 mask and bring some hand sanitizer.

Just wear long clothes you feel comfortable washing as soon as you get home
hey in the US are you guys able to reserve seats for any movie? in toronto/canada overall, we just have 1 major chain that has monopoly on movies but at very least we're able to reserve exact seat - no extra cost. used to be like this only for some movies...but since covid, they just made it for every movie - through online too. havent bought in person ticket in like a decade.
is states the same since covid? every time I go see a movie in New York I always found it to be like year 2000 with how outdated the mobile apps were...but maybe I didnt try hard enough?

Yeah most places have reserved seating now.
At least at AMCs in New York, most started doing reserve seating after The Dark Knight Rises -- I saw it in 70mm IMAX on opening day at Lincoln Square. I showed up about 2.5 hours before start time, they didn't have reserved seating at the time.
Was with my dad and sister, we could not find any seats together except in the 2nd f***ing row from the front (And think how early we got there). It was so painful to watch with my neck outstretched the entire time. Reserving seating is a god-send.

I don’t live in NY anymore.
But here in the south it’s $19 for a nice AMC, not Dolby or imax or anything. So I’d imagine NYC is around 20-25 at this point.
going to see this next week, so hyped for going to the movies for the first time in 6 months

We can easily pay upwards of 20 bucks for a regular ticket or up to like 35 for a true IMAX ticket
I don’t even know anymore because I’ve had A List for some time. That s*** really made life easy
