    The staggered release will undoubtedly hurt the critical reception domestically. UK press reception is overwhelmingly positive, I can see this having high 70s / low 80s RT score with a high average score.

    I've been struggling with how to cover a movie like TENET, a film trying to get people back in theaters in the U.S. during a pandemic when experts say it's the last thing we should do. And, morally, at all endorsing or normalizing something I wouldn't do.

    It’s naive to think that critics won’t be affected by the release in a still pretty bad situation domestically.

    I don’t think they’re going to slam the movie though. It’s entirely possible to say this is an incredibly well made movie and then to also write in the article (even as a headline) to not see it right now

    Reviews are seeming divisive

    Hoping this isn’t another case of media outlets and blue tick film critics getting distracted by some sort of controversy instead of reviewing the actual film
