yeah steps beach and no excuses is the s*** I want from Gambino, I’m all for what he wants to do, but those are gems
Bino has had some genuinely great verses in his career. I think he is criminally underrated as a lyricist
It's because his earlier lyrics were criminal
Something about the album just feels like this

If anything this is camp
I feel like to feel like this about bti you gotta go into the album with a preconceived idea about his character without letting the album speak for itself. It doesn’t give that vibe at all to me.

the production/sound on this is completely different than Camp imo. I actually loved the beats on Camp. A lot of this sounds like uninspired pharrell pop-production

On god in heaven
Love the song but A Place Where Love Goes is pretty strange track to end the album on. But I guess we'll find out the context of the tracks and their placements once the movie is out

Nah because I listened when it originally came out and never even heard camp before
I like a good handful of songs on it, I just think it’s far from a masterpiece
Steps Beach and Lithonia r my favs, good overall album experience but not sure how many others ima come back to... mix is great tho. A lil disappointed by his dainty vox on most tracks...
What happened with the AI thing
No clue. Apparently Koto deleted their tweets and S (when trying to raise awareness of the situation) apologized to Bino and got frustrated with Koto for not having the story right.
My guess is that Bino didn't do anything wrong and either rectified things with Koto or it was legally used all along as a reference track and Koto just wasn't notified or something.
Doesn't seem to be like there was actual maliciousness or wrongdoing though considering (which I've said from the beginning).
Dude went out of his way to clear a sample from Sesame Street and give the writer of the random Muppet Jungle Alphabet song a writers credit; why would he intentionally stiff someone like that in this way?

In the best way possible honestly. Album is delightful forreal.

To be fair he did used to work at/for NBCUniversal lol getting that cleared probably just took a simple phone call
Love the album. Have to give it some more listens but it might be up there with my favorite bino projects.
holy s*** the fresh and fit diss got me dying
but yeah f*** those losers
Which track
This s*** cringe. Was thinking he outgrew his cringeiness when he dropped AML and thought Lithonia was in the right direction but damn these rapping tracks sounds like he tryna fit in and forced
