what you think about me - interesting lyrics lol i kinda like her vocal delivery on the hook but it's very possible i'll never listen to it again

Still, she's done so much in the last 5 years that I can't call this a fall off yet. It seems like a transition album for her out of the sound she's had since Vroom Vroom and out of her current deal

It's just confusing since this is the project she was so passionate about and championing from the start. but then it's a bunch of songs that feel half baked. i was shocked when Good Ones was over during my relisten today, s*** felt like a snippet lmao. I also think Rina renegaded her she sounds perfect on that song.

yeah Charli been way too important and innovative the last few years so I'm not mad at her getting this project off. it just sounds like she's having so much fun on the tapes, which i don't get here. but it'll be interesting to see how she pivots next.

she sounds great on Move Me but idk if the song itself is that strong. I like Yuck, Every Rule and Baby. But with her other albums there's instantly a song like Gone on Charli or Track 10 on Pop 2 that feels like one of her best.

without a song like that it's easy to listen to Crash and just think why does this even exist? what's it really adding to her discography? An underwhelming Rina collab, a song with Christine that's not as good as their last?

Heard Rina saying she's doing a lot of garage on her next album, the sound suited her vocals really well on Beg For You. I like Selfish Girl too but both these tracks are nowhere near working as well as a decently made garage track should. Maybe someone MJ Cole, Preditah, Wookie or even Disclosure or TakeADaytrip should have helped produce it? idk

yeah, I think whatever happens the next album will be a bit of a reset after the bad reaction from fans and the fact it will be a new deal for her.

all valid. about New Shapes, i was thinking today that Caroline should've did Christine's part, and then Christine should've had the bridge in french or something. Caroline has a beautiful voice but her melodies do not be hitting for me. that is one of the stronger records on there for me tho.

I'd be so surprised if it's because some new audience is genuinely playing this loads. it's cool she's probably getting her first UK #1 album though

lmaooo yes NOACF is a mess. thing about Matty tho is I be liking his songs. like I f*** with Frail State of Mind heavy. but there's like 4 or 5 more on there that are eh. i think that sound they were going for should've been its own lil niche project, they tried to do too much on that album.

This is a really good pop album (on first listen). Obviously more mainstream than any of her post Vroom Vroom albums, but that doesn't make it inherently worse. Also, there are quite a few songs from Charli that could fit on this album
