Yeah this is getting tons of praise but I'm not really feeling it that much. I'm inclined to continue listening because of how often I change my opinion on her albums so maybe it'll grow on me

This is really good. There wasn’t a lot of overthinking going on here; Charli found an aesthetic she liked and rocked with those sounds the whole time. The few instances of electronic music that creep in are quite lovely and euphoric, but mostly the singles got the point across. It's a very cohesive artistic statement.

I think it’s going to grow on people over time. Her direct, off-the-cuff approach to lyricism could inspire a lot of writers who just need to express themselves. The closer is VERY Ye coded in its messaging and production choices, kind of unsettling and bittersweet.
