    "Fake #1!"

At least, Drake can still go #1 without massively promoting his songs. Your favorite rappers can't do that after spending millions on marketing and promotion.

62 songs have reached #1 on the Hot 100 this decade. 35 of those songs spent only 1 week at #1. 9 more songs spent only 2 weeks. So that's 44/62 songs to have reached #1 this decade only to spend no more than 2 weeks at #1.

He went #1 with an album cut and he'll go #1 again when he drops his album and y'all are just gonna keep crying about it

Still a top 20 song. Slow RnB 5 mins songs aren’t charting at all

    Number 1 already secured.

The song has Drake's name on it, so I'm not sure what else was going to happen.

At some point, the success of a new Drake single has to be measured by something other than first week streams. It's a pretty meaningless metric for someone as ubiquitous as Drake.

What standard should we hold him to? What standard does he hold himself to? The industry feedback loop is going to keep telling him that everything is fine as long as he charts highly.

Ask them when their favorite rapper hit any form of billboard charting and you’ll see why they keep screaming fake.

Spend more time worrying about how there aren't any new superstars from the current generation of rappers and spend less time worrying about Drake, who has dominated rap longer than any other rapper has and is still by far the biggest artist in rap music.

It's pretty simple. The initial hype of a Drake single will draw a number 1 but if it retains it's place at number 1 is dependent on if people actually like the track or are actually listening to it. A week later and the track is already out of the top 10 and will likely continue to freefall down the charts. This shows that the song wasn't a true hit and was just bolstered by initial hype. Yall would be clowning Nicki Minaj even though the same thing has happened to her many times. This is an L for Drake and Charlamagne was right. Yall Drake fans can keep crying about it

  • Threads like this are why Drake fans act a fool in the sales thread whenever he drops and y'all start crying, asking if it's a Drake d***riding thread or if its a sales thread
