I don’t get these types of comments. People are always constantly like “oh music nerd discussion doesn’t matter, what’s popular is reflected by mainstream discussion and the charts”. Drake releases a song, music nerds ignore it since there’s nothing to “discuss”, but it’s talked about all over social media and goes #1, and people say it came and went because music nerds aren’t discussing it? Make up your mind who matters more for popularity, RYM and music forums or public conscious
