fr? I think it's the lack of standout singles for me. I don't really like starboy but it has enough dope tracks to keep me coming back. I can only listen to After Hours from front to back, like individually, the songs don't do much for me

Ah see I never did that with After Hours. I much prefer a nice cohesive full album to play through rather than play through a few singles from the album.

The only songs I really can do that with are BL and Heartless, whereas other songs from After Hours I kinda have to play them in the context of the album bc that’s just how they sound to me.

Heartless hits harder with the album context too

I hope Heavenly Creatures is reworked in for the next project

So does Blinding Lights, more so than Heartless tbh I feel like the whole meaning and vibe of BL is changed when you put Faith behind it

Because STARBOY was intended just to be an album filled with songs that had potential to be singles, he even admitted that. With After Hours, he created an actual cohesive body of work with a story from beginning to end along with transitions flowing from each track.
