2nd min of Escape from LA should've been a whole song on its own

aside from a few songs, the writing is pretty basic and uninspired with occasional cringe lines here and there

Uninspired is the last thing you can say about the writing and this album in general

he is definitely inspired by his heartbreak, but sadly that doesnt inspire him enough to write some deep s*** unfortunately

The Weeknd is all about being shallow. That's his whole persona. I mean that in a good way

idk, anything besides the constant corny lines like "youre my light" "i can breathe without you" or whatever

This is the first Weeknd album where I really dont care to listen again. BBTM was my least favorite but this might beat it. After Hours is still a great song tho

the thing is, like often times he gives us some solid writing like starboy, reminde, after hours or songs on trilogy, but whenever we hear the full album, i get immediately disappointed

Faith is still the best song on here.
