one thing i gotta say about this album is that, as a JBP fan (and not one that usually takes their music opinions seriously), i do believe in the "low effort" music thing joe is always on about

and no matter what you think of this album, it feels like he's been working on it for years. in a way that a lot of music in the "one release a year" cycle of the last few years hasn't

this is really his kiss land 2 imo. it's not what i necessarily would've wanted in every aspect (like the poppy anime ending production on a few songs), but then that doesn't take into account that starboy happened.

also the singles hit SOOOO much harder in context. the whole thing feels like it's building up to that moment, then the lows come again towards. i hated heartless at first, and now i'm pulling it up on first listen lol
