The problem with J Cole is that he produces his own music and gets a little too comfortable on the mic and isn’t as focused...but when he’s on songs like Under the Sun and Middle Child, he f***ing snaps.
yea like if he was willing to work with say sounwave, alchemist and no ID for production and then feature say hov, jay E, kendrick and a couple people to do hooks
bam you got a classic
but him doing his own production and no features just doesn't work. he hasn't made good hooks in a long ass time and his rapping isn't interesting enough to be the only thing happening on a song
