    She’s clearly bipolar
I’m not using that against her, but she’s said she has it, why do we keep treating people with bipolar disorder like they don’t have bipolar disorder?

as someone who is bipolar idk how people should treat me, what do u mean by "treating someone like theyre bipiolar"

What I mean is, we should have empathy for people with bipolar disorder. When Ye is having an episode, for instance, I think we should think about it in the context of his disorder, and not just pretend that his brain functions the same way everyone else’s does. But it’s easier for people to just say that they’re being an a******.

yea i more or less agree, its complicated discussion because its sorta something u keep secret and it comes with a plethora of preconceptions

i totally believe people who are mentally ill should ideally be open about it and others being open minded and treating such people with respect and understanding, but thats definitely not how it works in reality, but in general being mentally ill is heavily stigmatized, and one usually tries to keep it secret.

being mentally ill makes many aspects of life very difficult, but people tend to just believe that the mentally ill are people who struggle with willpower or self discipline, the best approach is to just lie and act as normal as possible, which in turn means u are treated normally, which i guess is my main point, that in reality its more advantageous for all parties to treat each other equally regardless of mental illness
