Its nice to see hip hop albums with more 4/5 minute songs than 2 minute songs. But still an hour runtime. Reminds me of a 2010s album

It has good songs and moments but
    A. It’s way too long
    B. It has low lows
    C. Tbh the sound is just boring and derivative and it feels incredibly safe
    D. No clue why songs like buried alive or heart and tongue or child of god aren’t on here when they would be some of the best
    E. It feels safe

Feels like more substance and time was put into the song

It was a decent kicking the dust off the tires album.

He should have dropped 10 projects since Acid Rap.

I think if he got into the right political headspace he could drop a classic. Maybe lock in with a producer like Madlib or some s*** idk

For me, the thing Acid rap still has over this and his other bodies of work is that it’s a legitimately a fun listen from top to bottom even with its lows

But this album his most mature and I appreciate the hell out of that

Acid rap intro sounded great. Acid rap had way more edge, eclectisism, innovation etc than any of his other s***. Coloring book also has like a kinda distinct sound and vibe that doesn’t feel boring or derivative
Acid rap is a good ass varied time. It has depth without being all melodramatic

To be overproduced means ur throwing in so much stuff to feel grand that it doesn’t sound good nomo

    Title track is chilling.

Good Ass outro is warm and fuzzy and weird

Favorite song is my least favorite song tho

His delivery/voice is actually quite annoying at times in spite of the good music on there.

The same way mick jenkins “fans” say his best album was Water(s) like Pieces of a Man isnt right there lol.
