Adaptation haters taking nonstop Ls
Soundtrack HITS, Colours so dope, facial animations go OFF
Says chainsaw man pt1&2 in title so I guess thread for all things related
Didn't see any discussion about the new chapter on this page (actually just saw on the one before) and I see people talk about "anime only discussion".
Tbh just want to say that I find it pretty lackluster for now, there are cool moments but story moves too slow and
neither Denji or the new characters are that interesting

Disclaimer: I don't hate the adaptation. In fact I think it's p good in many ways. But funnily enough, outside of the opening and closing songs, I think the OST leaves a lot to be desired (which is actually crazy bcause it has the same composer as Devilman Crybaby, and that OST is simply amazing).
And I'm also not a big fan of the desaturated look. The colors used in the manga are SO vibrant and eccentric. I'm not saying the anime should go to that extreme but it looks so washed-out in comparison.
Obv just my opinion.

Honestly besides maybe colors i think this adaptation is perfect. Captures the creepy, awkward yet beautiful vibe fujimoto is good at.
