these are called “resins” in the figure world, they’re unlicensed but it seems like a sorta grey area because the ip holders never come after them. i have a few one piece resins and they’re good quality, idk about this brand through. the price listed is just the deposit you have to pay, the full price is usually much more and there’s typically a 3-6 month wait period
i dont want to post in the thread because i've only seen the first season + movie, but i absolutely love Chainsaw Man. I've seen a lot of anime but Chainsaw Man is different. i have high hopes for it.
the author's other work is really interesting too how he depicts women. Goodbye Eri made me want to be creative again.
like i'll be going about my business and some scene from the movie or season 1 will go through my mind. it taps into this very specific aesthetic. you can tell the author has actually gotten p**** and as someone older it's fun watching his vision play out.

I feel similar plus I love the references to cinema in the show
Finally caught up again, holy f*** what a manga. Ive re-read part 2 like at least 3 times and it always holds up, simply incredible writing. Witty, funny, cruel, sweet, subversive, rebellious, sad, provocative, h****, violent all at the same time.
Its become much more of a character focused story, asa/yoru and denji take main priority through the entire story, every other characters being used in their service, and even then there are characters who still have something to say like death devil yoshida, nayuta, f***ass barem, fumiko...
Ive said it before but writing short stories made him a lot better at creating deep, nuanced characters.
I also find the general plot more interesting than part 1. You get more invested in the world in this part, every event has tragic consequences that forever change our characters lives, creating catastrophic events of such magnitude you cant even try to predict what will happen next. He even tackles some surprising topics, like the consequences of chainsaw man and subsequently denji becoming a world famous, f***ed up hero.
Even the exploration of fears, chainsaw man powers and how public safety moves after makima. And actually its interesting how actually useful makima was to keep world peace, She prevented a lot of s*** that ends up happening in this part.
He's also at his most creative, almost every chapter a new idea, what a breath of fresh air he still Is despite being in the game for a decade.
Could keep rambling forever, i'll never understand the heavy criticism this part gets. Yeah some characters are gone to soon (could say the same for part 1 tho), and i'll agree he got worse at drawing, although character design is still top of the class.
Also this is the funniest panel ever and i want to believe he did this on purpose cause its so stupid it sticks out as soon as you get to this page and he's very deliberate with paneling. Not for any deep reason, i just want to believe he found it funny and wanted to keep it this way
Everyone else around Denji and Asa are super flat and not memorable. I'll have to do a re-read, but the characters in this part are not as interesting as part 1. That makes the action in a lot of chapters feel like Fujimoto clashing two action figures together.
Asa carries this series, and for a moment it felt like part 2 had no memorable MC in the middle of this series. Hopefully everything wraps up well, and we can walk away from the CSM universe in one piece.

As of rn I’m indifferent to part 2 as a whole and have to reread. To me Nayuta living with Denji and the cult are standouts to me.
