5 minutes in and they added the usual anime goofy soundtrack and punch sound effect for beam introduction

Outside of me missing the season 1 art style and the awkward pacing for the first part of Reze meeting Denji, this movie was great fun. The action scenes were well animated.

i mean, technically no… but through context clues and some exposition you can more or less get the gist of things since the main focus the the self-contained story.

they’ll definitely miss a lot of the details and nuances but if someone is asking if they should skip an entire season then chances are it’s not that important to them 💀

its not a self-contained story and it isnt even written in that way either though, its a direct sequel to the anime / next arc of the series

i dont even think this movie would even be that much enjoyable without prior knowledge unless you just wanna look at cool action scenes for the last 20 or so mins lmao
