there just isnt enough there for me to buy denji falling in love and the animation communicates maybe a fifth of the interiority of reze's character apparent on the page. makima somehow also gets shortchanged in all of this. also putting the ending as a postcredits scene really grinded my gears

also, outside of maybe 60 or so seconds worth of shots, it doesnt even look good. this new director is ass

i wanna say that maybe the existence of so many continuity mistakes as well is a result of the movie getting rushed as chainsaw man hype may be dying down due to how csm2 has a more mixed reception

also crunchyroll recently pivoted to using Israeli ai for its localization so extra boo for that and tricking me into spending imax money on this
