If the cover was different and Girls Want Girls / In The Bible (two hated songs) didn't start the album it would be received differently

Idk, Drake’s cover arts haven’t been great for a while now and no project of his is as generally disliked as CLB is

I got a Top 5 but I still think this is Drake’s weakest project start to finish.

The highlights on here are some of Drake’s best work, but it’s surrounded by nonsense

Its more of a 2020's Take Care. Packed with multiple classics and makes it worth the long runtime. Views is long too but we didn't need Grammys or Pop Style imo

I think people underrate how covers can change perception of an album, not saying it's the entire reason though either

The tracklist is the biggest thing for sure

Thank Me Later is another album from him that's underrated and has a questionable coverart

Yeah it definitely plays a factor for sure, but like you said the tracklist and sequencing was probably the biggest factor for people disliking it

People were forcing others to fw with the cover art. It’s ranked low compared to his other stuff imo.

I’d rather have had Virgil try whip up a couple more ideas from the stuff he did for the album.

I had it in much higher regard around release time but over time it’s lost its shine a little. The highlights on here *(Champagne, RMM, TSU, Pipe Down, N2Deep) are some of Drake’s best tracks ever and in my personal favourites.

I got over the cover and find its appeal in a more personal and symbolic way. This album came out around the time my relationship with women began to change and i’m very thankful for it. However, there’s some songs on here that are outright terrible and I have yet to even finish two years later. Weird project but one of my favourites from The Boy.
