Okay, this sounds like a great show. Do I need to be caught up in the lore to follow this
I would say no. If anything just watch rogue one, but honestly watch that after this
Nah leave the skywalker saga behind ASAP
Make a new saga with a new name, a new enemy and just everything f***ing new. Use KOTOR

Yeah that seems like a no brainer but I've heard there was licensing issues with using the old republic. That's why it hasn't been made yet.
And I know a lot like Mando Season 2 but to me that was pure fan service. Mando had no arc. It was just an introduction to other Star Wars shows
Ngl the sequel trilogy hurt me so bad I starting writing my own ideas for a new Star Wars trilogy.
For one would love to see smugglers, criminals and regular people who are force sensitive who use their ability for selfish reasons, but let them be the main characters and focus.
No skywalkers or old lineage.
No rebels or empire.
Just something more intimate and personal.
Lead characters any race but white please.
In the vein Star Wars Visions would love to see lightsaber battles between characters for personal gain that has nothing to do with rescuing anyone

Need good lightsaber fights back too. The prequels had such crazy fights and the sequel lightsaber fights were absolute trash

I don't understand y'all hardcore star wars fans sometimes. Nigga said make a whole new saga, then said use KOTOR.
Eps 3 the best eps out of all these live action sw tv shows. An actual good shoot-out that isn't just the opposing side running into blaster bolts like idiots.

good point lol
Someone rank this out of the other sw series before I watch plz.
Kenobi was kinda a let down for me

They have multiple times. TLJ has so many things from kotor 2, and yall niggas hated it. the 1st eps of the 2nd season of mando they straight up rip off a mission from kotor 1. If they're gonna make something new (which they should) Just start from scratch.
Someone rank this out of the other sw series before I watch plz.
Kenobi was kinda a let down for me
Easily 1st, no competition

this is top 1 easy
kenobi a distant second
mando and boba s***ting it up in last place

i actually hadn't watched when u asked me, just saw the pics of bix on twitter and wanted to post
Very very strong first three Eps. The opening scene is one of my favorite Star Wars things ever, idc if it feels overly Cyberpunkish or Blade Runnerish, it tells you right away this isn't your mommy and daddy's Star Wars
I didn't love Episode 3 like a lot of other people seemed to, but part of me thinks it's not because I actually have fault with the Episode itself, but more so the "FINALLY something happened" takes I saw all over. The discussion around this show has made me realize that, "When is something going to happen?" means very different things for different people. If you can't appreciate those first two Episodes idk what to tell you other than u stink.
I kinda hope the show slows back down a bit. I have a slight fear it's going to turn into Obi-Wan or Mando where it starts off very strong but then quickly becomes a very formulaic collection of serials where the main conflict is put on the backburner at the expense of a "mission of the week" type thing. I have faith that the showrunners wouldn't allow that to happen, but it's happened with every other D+ show thus far, so you know.

While I probably prefer episode 1 overall by just a little bit, the end of episode 3 is intercut pretty spectacularly if you ask me - young Cassa looking at this woman who has just (in his eyes) kidnapped him, but seeing this expression of warmth as the sun hits his face, then cutting back to Cassian in the present as the sun hits him during this second exodus... it's really good cinema, Star Wars or no.
Episode 2 is good as well, but it's a bit more of a mood piece - I really enjoyed existing in that little corner of the world, and there's some great writing in there too, but it's def more of a 'between' ep

same about worrying it might going too fast
but i listened podcast with the gilroy guy the creator and he basically said ep 1-3 were seen as 1 block and also noticed that ep 1-3 have the same writer/director
4-6 have the same writer/director
7 seperate
8-10 same writer/director
11-12 same writer director
He talked about how they like cut it up in parts its almost like mini arcs in the season, that gives me hope tbh
Can't get over how f***ing good this show looks. They really went all out with the sets. The bladerunner vibes in the first eps was just
