because my understanding of (part of) mr morale was that he isnt the right person to do the whole "fix the culture" thing. partly because of trauma and partly for other reasons
that doesnt mean he has to stand on that in perpetuity but there has to be some kind of explanation/extra piece to all of this imo
popping out with NLU then WTPD then that specific superbowl performance just feels cheap in the context of that album
my personal opinion is that he needed a win at any cost given the stakes of that beef and said f*** it on NLU, then when the song started blowing up he basically built his current image around the whole "drake is the villain" part of it that resonated with people
I love how you’re completely ignoring that Drake is the one that started the allegation mudslinging on Family Matters
This would be funny fr
Ran to Atlanta last year to diss and now running to Atlanta again to supposedly diss
The difference is when Midrick does it it’s not meaningful at all. He does it for gimmick reasons and to cultivate his image. He’s a capitalist piece of s*** who stands for nothing. At least Drizzy supported Palestine.
“Drake supported Palestine”
Nigga signed his name on a petition that was being passed around the industry. It’s funny how Kendrick gets attached for “empty symbolisms” but you niggas think that’s support
So let me get this straight; What makes him more of a “capitalist” than say J Cole? Because he doesn’t ride around ona bike? Why niggas act like he’s supposed to be broke??

Midrick wishes he had half the height and integrity and character of Cole

Every song Euphoria onward was made in a 10-14 day span, this been confirmed by countless people involved atp
with a couple late added in lines like the “Family Matters and the Truth of the Matter” s*** on Not Like Us
NLU was not a OOP time to crash out moment lol
Other rappers aren't giving themselves a crown of thorns.
Nas literally walked with the cross in the Hate Me now music videeo, He ain’t the first one to use that symbolism.. if you don’t agree wit it I understand but the intention behind it wasn’t him saying “I’m Jesus” it’s mocking the “messiah” narrative projected on him by detractors. The same way the crown of thorns was placed on Jesus’ head by the Romans to mock him.
Like I said if you don’t rock wit it I respect it, but I don’t think Kendrick did it without knowing it would be polarizing. Also this narrative was placed on him before Morale.

S*** maybe the height part

See where we disagree is the extent Kendrick tried to remove himself from being a savior, or whatever you'd want to call it. I think he was reasonably saying he won't be able to change the political state of the world through his music, but that doesn't include the culture. As arguably the top rapper right now he can at least try to change the culture, hence why we get Watch the Party Die.
Don't know if I agree with that last part. Would you say WTPD is a "Drake is the villain" song? Seems to me he redirected his beef at Drake towards other parties like the blogs and fans that only hype up bullshit. Even GNX largely didn't have anything to do with Drake.
The most talked about song is probably Wacced Out Murals where he called out other people too. Kendrick is anti-everybody right now, and imo I think that's a perfect transition from Mr Morale. He basically doesn't have to pretend to be wholesome like everyone thought he was. Even the Superbowl had more references to watching the party die ("Game Over", "the revolution is about to be televised" , etc) than Drake. Now he can attack the bullshit all he wants without people asking why he isn't saving the world...well that's how it should be ideally
would have to look
global mods dont get notifications for reports the same way admins do
we only see reports nexts to posts
Ofc somebody had to be annoying and report this 😭
Man, why Kendrick always got grown men in shambles I’ll never know. Nigga ain’t even do anything yet and still…

Kendrick and Carti are connected to a lot of the same senior pirus (like G Weeder)
After seeing Ak’s tweets feel like he might not be on the album unless he’s holdin back
